This unique appetizer recipe was received from my neighbor and good friend Ellen. The results are always well received.
Although I usually use as an appetizer, I have used as a brunch item also!
- 2 cups ( 1 pound) sausage -cooked, crumbled and blotted to remove grease
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup bottled ranch salad dressing
- 1 can (2.25 oz.) sliced black olives -drained
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 package of fresh or thawed frozen won ton wrappers
(you can also use egg roll wrapper just cut into quarters)
- vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Very lightly brush muffin tin with vegetable oil.
Place a won ton wrap in each cup of the muffin pan to form a cup lightly brush inside of cups with oil and bake 5 minutes.Remove cups and place on a cookie sheet. Combine the remaining ingredients and fill each won ton cup. Bake 5 minutes or until bubbly!
Recipe makes 4 -5 dozen.
