Brown Sugar & Balsamic Glazed Pork (Crock Pot)
This dish is everything I love. When a recipe includes two of my favorites, pork and balsamic vinegar, then adds the simple preparation of this recipe I am sold and will definitely be sure to make this a repetitive visitor in our house!
Thank you Pinterest and the C & C Marriage Factory blog for offering another special recipe.
2 pound boneless or regular pork loin
1 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 clove minced garlic *
1/2 cup water
glaze:
1/2 sugar brown sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
* I used the jarred mined garlic which is stored in oil and made a nice paste.
Serves: 2 - 3
Put 1/2 cup of water in crock pot. Combine sage, salt, pepper and garlic. Rub paste over the roast and place roast in crock pot. Cook until roast in tender (6 - 8 hours on low or 3-4 on high). Add water if needed.
With 1 hour left in the cooking time prepare the glaze. Place all glaze ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat on the stove top until a thickened glaze consistency. Baste the roast several times during the last hour.
Serve meat drizzled with glaze and with the glaze on the side.
