Creamy Spinach and Bacon Dip

This spinach dip is a little different due to the bacon. It always goes over well! I received the original recipe from my church friend Linda Jones but Linda will note I've made a few changes!!

1 - 2.8 oz. package of 100% precooked bacon pieces (like bacon throw in two pkgs)
1 - 10 oz package of frozen chopped spinach (thawed, squeezing out as much moisture as possible)
1 - 10 oz package of frozen, chopped onions (thawed, squeezing out as much moisture as possible)
3 - 8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 cup package of shredded Italian Cheese Mixture
Crackers or something similar for dipping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all the ingredients except crackers.
Place in a 2 quart baking dish and bake 30 minutes.
Serve with crackers.

You can chop fresh onions and use a pound of bacon, cooked and chopped but I'll be honest with you these conveniently prepared options make the preparation very easy!

I haven't done it yet, but every time I make this I think it would be great stuffed in a chicken breast!
