This recipe is great for parties. It is made in the crock pot so you can have it ready ahead of time but be sure to have a large crowd when you serve this dish! The recipe make 14 - 16 servings.
1/2 cup ketchup
1 chopped onion
1 chopped red bell pepper
1 chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons vinegar
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
16 oz. can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
15 1/2 oz, can Northern Beans (rinsed and drained)
15 oz. can of Lima Beans (rinsed and drained)
15 oz. can of black beans (rinsed and drained)
15 1/2 oz. can of black eyed peas (rinsed and drained)
In the crock pot combine the first ten ingredients - mix well.
Add all the beans - mix well.
Cover and cook on low 5 -7 hours.
Remove bay leaves before serving.
