Well today was the day and now I regret not trying it earlier. It is quick, fairly easy and delicious!!! Next time I will add a little more cayenne pepper but other than that it was perfect!
- 1 pound raw shrimp (peeled)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 1/2 cup rice or pasta
- Saute the shrimp and onions in butter for 5 minutes, add mushrooms and cook additional 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour, salt and cayenne pepper over shrimp.
- Stir in the sour cream and cook three minutes. Don't let it come to a boil.
- Serve over prepared rice or pasta.
