Fajitas

We've served this recipe many times for company. It just reminds me of good friends and good times. I hope it is a source of good times and good meals for you too!

You can also just make one meat if you'd like!

1 1/2 pounds steak (sirloin or top round, whichever is the better bargain)
or
1 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken

1 cup salsa

1/4 cup oil

1 teaspoon lemon juice

dash of black pepper

dash of garlic powder

flour tortillas

chopped tomato

chopped onion

shredded cheese

sour cream

Place the salsa, oil, lemon juice, pepper and garlic powder in a zip lock bag and mix to combine. Place meat in bag and marinade in the refrigerator 3 - 24 hours.
Cook meat on the grill until cooked to your liking.
Heat the tortillas. (this can be done in the microwave or oven.)
Slice the meat into thin strips. Serve with tortillas and condiments. I find it easiest to set up a build your own fajita bar. (You may have other favorite condiments - these are just the ones we use!)
