Candied Pecans

When the boys were young they liked to make these as gifts for Christmas! They are good!!
I received this recipe from  Tonya Wolf and she has people specifically request them as gifts!! You'll like them!

1 egg white - beat with a teaspoon of water until frothy

1 pound pecans  - add to egg white and mix to coat thoroughly

Combine in a separate bowl:

1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon    
1/2 teaspoon salt

Add pecans to cinnamon mixture and coat thoroughly.

Spread nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 20 minutes.

Cool and store to kept fresh. The boys liked small ball jars but zip-lock baggies would work well too!
