Double Decker Fudge

This was another one of  Grandpa Greene's  favorites. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter is always a favorite!

2 cups (12 oz.) peanut butter flavored chips
1/4 cup melted butter
12 ounces Hershey's Cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups (12 oz.) evaporated milk
1/4 cup butter
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme

Line a 13" x 9" pan with foil.
Layer one: Place one cup of peanut butter chips in a bowl and set aside.
Layer two: In a second bowl blend 1/4 cup melted butter, cocoa, and vanilla until smooth then add the second cup of peanut butter chips.
In a saucepan combine sugar, marshmallow creme, evaporated milk, add 1/4 cup butter. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until comes to a rapid boil. Allow to boil, stirring constantly for five minutes.
Remove pan from heat and immediately add half of this to the peanut butter chips (layer 1) and pour mixture into the prepared pan.
Add the remaining hot mixture to the cocoa mixture (layer 2) and pour over the peanut butter layer already in the prepared pan.
