Pecan Tassies
Oooo you'll like these and they are pretty easy to make. They also add a variety to any desert selection. They are often called mini pecan pies since they are exactly that mini pecan pies.
Makes 24 bite size tassies!
Pastry
3 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup flour
Filling
1 egg
1 tablespoon butter - melted
dash of salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
Blend together the cream cheese and margarine then add the flour using a pastry cutter or two knives.
Roll pastry into 24 ball. Place the balls in the freezer while making filling.
Beat together all the filling ingredients except the pecans. Once the mixture is combined stir in the nuts.
Remove the pastry balls from the freezer and place a ball into each cup of a mini muffin tin. Press the middle of the balls down with your thumb and work up the sides of the cup. Fill the pastry cups with the filling.
Bake at 325 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes. Cool in the pan before removing.
