Sour Cream and Bacon - Crock Pot Chicken

I've been on Pinterest again and found another recipe worth sharing! This recipe came from Mom'swith crockpots.com and delivers a very satisfying meal. If you haven't noticed, lately I have been all about crock pot cooking. It is very convenient to throw your meal together earlier in the day and when dinner time arrives you have little to do.

Rich and I are empty nesters these days so I often cut the quantity to serve just the two of us but I will report the recipe uncut.

8 slices of bacon
8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halves
1 cup sour cream
2 - 10 oz cans roasted garlic cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup flour

  •  I cut chicken breasts into two to guarantee through cooking.
  • Wrap a slice of bacon around each section of chicken breast and place in crock pot.
  • In a separate bowl combine sour cream, soup, and flour.
  • Pour mixture over the top of the chicken.
  • Cover pot with lid.
  • Cook 6 -8 hours on low or 4 - 6 hours on high.
  • Serving chicken and sauce over rice, noodles or couscous is great!
